I have a chronic back pain that radiates down the legs are stronger than the requirements?

I have chronic pain that radiates back in my legs is stronger than Percocet prescriptions? I can take a dose of 5 mg. At first it was enough, sometimes I like to have 1 / 2 half of pain, but not bad and all severe cases. I'm taking a set of every 4 hours as prescribed it appears (except when sleeping – sleeping pills me if I can not sleep). I have some horrible conditions are found in my MRI, but they thought I underwent brain surgery in October was what could have caused all the pain at first, Nan uh! They are also investigating on the back and the new MRI is too much, compared with those of others. Anyway, I wondered what other physicians sometimes prescribe medicines that are stronger for chronic pain. I can not run every day for emergencies. I can not stand the pain either. I'm crying so much. Some days I can barely walk. I am sensitive and allergic to compazine, Cymbalta, Lyrica and Neurontin. Percocet seems a little help, but now not so much. I will see my doctor this week ..

Dose of 5 mg is a small Percocet with and you will build a tolerance pretty quickly. What are some good workouts to do if you have back pain?

Walking and workout dvds are not an option, those hurt too. I have back pain (most likely due to weight gain,this has happened before)what are some exercises/workouts I can do to start out until the pain goes away.

I was thinking elliptical machine or yoga. Or is yoga not recommended for people with back pain??

Great question!

Just for a minute, consider that the cause of your back pain may actually be directly related to the cause of your weight gain?

Yes, it’s true that the additional stress, tension and pressure from the added weight definitely contributes to your back pain; however, I would suspect that’s only one factor.

Believe it or not, most people misunderstand fat. People believe that it’s additional calories, fats or carbs that “cause” fat – but, the truth is that fat is actually designed to protect you!

In fact, your fat may be saving your life!

The foods that we eat can cause a highly acidic and toxic effect on the body (fat is a symptom, but also is back pain).

When you body is acidic and toxic, your body begins to accumulate fat in order to protect your organs and tissues from the dangerous effects of this environment … you get rid of those toxins by consuming the right foods and the fat will just melt away faster than any diet, any pills or any exercise you can imagine!

Is it just indigestion if I have severe back pain?

I have severe pain under my rib cage on my right side and also the same area in my back. I can’t sleep but haven’t eaten since 5 o’clock yesterday. I had a bbq steak that was a little pink in the middle, some chips and cheese and some watermelon, and two beers.

The pain has not gotten any worse of better.

Is this constipation, gas, something else.

is the pain under the right lower rib? it might be an appendicitis.. Appendicitis has these other symptoms.
Pain that intensifies when moving, taking deep breaths, coughing, or sneezing
Constipation or diarrhea
Abdominal swelling
Loss of appetite
Low-grade fever that begins after other symptoms

Mid abdominal and lower back pain?

My girlfriend just started her period. she has had upper to mid abdominal pains all day. she says they are pretty severe, shooting pains. but now thinks they’re just severe cramp pains. but the pain spread to the lower outer parts of her back. also when she lays it is bearable but when she stands its pretty much unwithstandable. she did yoga and stretched that area so that may be the cause. does anyone know any causes for these symptoms. also a little nauscious and burpy.

What can I do for lower back pain?

It almost feels like I have a kidney infection ..(I don’t) I have really big boobies ( I think that’s a big factor to the back pain) but I’m kinda small as well. 5 almost 6 months pregnant. Any yoga moves or streches I can do?

How long should you wait to take a pregnancy test after sex?

my best friend had a week ago and she was supposed to get her period a couple days before she had sex. she still hasnt gotten it, and she just took a pregnancy test and it said negetive. now since she was supposedly getting her period, i say that would’ve been harder to get pregnant because its nearly impossible to get pregnant when you have your period. but she does have a lot of symptoms of early pregnancy.

-tender boobs/pain.
-back and hip pain
-constipation
-nausea
-frequent urination
-excessive thirst
-lightheadedness
-swollen stomach

is she pregnant? what do you think?

if the test said negative then either shes just not pregnant or its too early.
those symptoms can be from her period about to start. wait about another week or so. if still no period test again

yoga for back pain spine
lower back problems, any suggestions?

i am almost 23 and already have lower back problems (i started having pain about 2 years ago). according to x-rays, the last few vertebrae curve toward the left; the chiropractors i have been to say it is slight scoliosis. because of this, all of the muscles in that area are pretty much always in pain; often the ones that extend down the side of my leg hurt as well. standing too long or sitting in one position for too long just starts to hurt. i can move, it will feel better, then the pain will come back. it’s not searing pain, but its just a somewhat dull pain that seems pretty chronic to me.

1) howcome the pain only began a few years ago if my spine has been that way since, well, forever?
2) any suggestions on what can be done? icing helps, and so does yoga. am i going to have to deal with this pretty much forever?

You ask good questions about your back pain.
1) Your posture has caught up to you and now you have pain. Some times people have bad posture, then do one task and the pain starts so they blame it on that one task. When really it’s our posture.
2a)Read Dr. Bookspan’s AbsArticle and do what she says. It’s free and it doesn’t hurt, weird I know.
2b)No, it sounds similar to my pain and you can get well soon. Or you can do all kinds of other stuff like I did for many years. MRI, PT, Chiropractor…no real answers.

I would guess that it feels good to bend forward, that is one sign of us over archers.
I suspect when you sit you try to sit up straight. The trouble is you don’t know what straight is, so you over arch your lower back. If you rotate (tip) your hip to take the large arch out the pain will go away.
When you stand you have the same problem, too much arch in your lower back.
The other possibility is that when you sit you round your lower back, and when you stand you arch.
Either way you can fix it in a few minutes, then you learn how to use your abs correctly to keep your hips in the correct position and your back gets well. Feel free to email me if you have more questions. I’ll get all kinds of thumbs down, but I’m just here to share the truth. Get well soon.

A few questions about yoga?

hii.. I am 22 year old girl and lately I have been practicing yoga(not regularly though) through a website called yogatic.com. The instructor posts the videos which I follow.

The problem is that I have a 30 inch waist and am 5.5 feet tall. I am unable to do the exercises which she does at ease. my shoulder and neck start paining wen i do certain postures.. Am i doing it the wrong way?

Can I really reduce my stomach if i follow those exercises?

Also, i have a small projection towards the back of my neck.. not projection, but its more like a fat deposit. i think it is due to the lack of exercise.. can you suggest anything for this?
and if possible please suggest any more exercises to reduce my tummy. Thanks a lot people!!!

Anytime you start something new, it will be hard, and you probably won’t be very good at it. That’s why they say “practice makes perfect.” This is true with Yoga especially. You really have to be patient with yourself. Do your best, even if you aren’t nailing the form straight on, just do the best you can. If something is causing you pain, back off, adjust the pose, or don’t do it. Here’s something that I always remember- do you know who Hugh Jackman is? Well, he’s an actor right? Wolverine in the X-Men movies and stuff. Well, for his movie “The Fountain” he had to hold the lotus position. (Where you sit cross legged, but each foot is up on the thigh). Now, Hugh Jackman seems like a really fit guy, right? Well, it took him 6 months of training to be able to do that position. So, it’s not just you that struggles. Everyone has to practice to get better.

Yoga And Chronic Back Pain Relief

So what about chronic back pain? Maybe yoga is good for minor aches and pains that are part of the wear and tear of the aging process and the challenges in living on our modern society, but what about serious chronic pain? I’ve lived with occasional lower back pain for the last 10 years or more. And I’ll say that its always disheartening when something sets off that old and unfortunately familiar pain. But I can’t imagine suffering from that kind of pain every day, like. Some people, even friends of mine, walk around every day with constant pain in their neck or back.

I have a neighbor with chronic back pain in her upper back and shoulders area. She works in a high-pressure time-sensitive field and is on-call practically 7 days a week. She is ambitious and conscientious, and takes her job seriously. I might call her a “Type A Personality.” I’m not sure if she would say that her back pain is caused by stress or not. At this point its so much a part of her life, she can’t remember a time that it wasn’t there.

She is a runner, and tells me that when  she first tried yoga she found it too slow, not challenging, and frankly boring. However, she was curious about yoga and thought the stretching and relaxation would do her some good. She has come over to practice with me from time to time over the last year, and finds that she gets immediate relief from her chronic back pain from doing yoga. This was a pleasant surprise to me. I expected yoga to help her, and tailored our sessions to poses that I thought would stretch her upper back/shoulder area, but I was amazed by the immediate relief she experienced. I think she was too.

She finds that when she does practice yoga, not only does she feel immediate relief, but she often has a day or even two free from the chronic back pain. Though she is still not practicing yoga regularly, I know when she is having a bad day and the upper back pain is getting to her, because she sends me a text message asking whether we can do yoga together soon. So that’s just one example, but added to my personal experience and all the other information I have found over the years on this topic, it was a powerful demonstration on how effective yoga is in relieving this kind of pain.
