Back Pain Sleeping Position

What to do for low back pain?

He had back pain for at least six years and seriously messed up four times. First Again I planted when I was dancing on a floor without carpet without shoes with hard, the second time the bike in the hills that has exploded, the third time in dancing without shoes or socks, the last step aerobics time (two trucks). When I messed up everything I can do is put on the back and the rest, Motrin and hope for improvement. My back is weak and I am very serious about my training. Do not miss it, but I do not know if it will not hurt my back even more. This is what I can do to improve the low back? My bed does not help unless I sleep on my side curled up so as not to exert pressure on the lower back / lumbar. I tried to sleep with a pillow under your knees but end up sleeping in another position because I do not sleep on my back.

Hello, I understand the back pain. I broke my back. There are things you can do. Let's start with how to strengthen it. There is something called the morning. What it does is spread your legs shoulder length of the other. You must walk, and you look back to arch. You lean your body entirely on top to either a 90 degree angle with your legs. Make sure your back is arched. Then you slowly rise. You come down slowly and little little. It is a simple exercise. You must get to the point where they do it 100 times in the morning or evening. This will strengthen the lower back slightly. This is the problem here. Ok Now let's say you have a sore back. A heating pad is a necessity. cold packs are a necessity. During the day, you have to run hot and cold. The Doctors say that every fifteen minutes, but you know what feels good, and how much time there. Motrin helps, but if you call your doctor, I'm sure you can Tylenol with that. But please look carefully. The two together should give you a relief well. As your going back is better is a good thing, but please note I said gentle stretching. This will stimulate the muscles and you need to heal. I wish you good luck and hope this helps! But please use the exercise to that can prevent future problems. Have a great weekend! Michael

Low Back Pain Sleep Positions

low back pain sleep positions
How can I alleviate back pain that occurs during sleep?

Hi there,
I am in my early 20s. I don’t know why my lower back (the area near the lower part of the spinal cord) hurts like hell every morning I wake up. Usually, when I wake up, I lie in bed for 5-10 minutes and I try to lie on my back or sideways to see if those things make a difference. As soon as I stand up and engage in morning activities, the pain gradually goes away. However, it hurts a lot in the morning. I have tried sleeping on the floor, changing mattresses and sleeping in different positions but nothing seems to work. I can’t afford a chiropractor right now. I wish I could sleep while standing. Do you have any idea what this might be and if there is anything I could do about it?

That sounds like pinched muscles in your back, something that loads of people have. As you work during the day your movements keep it from tightening up and you can put pain out of your mind when you have enough other things going on. But after being pretty much in one place for those hours of sleep it feels like it is locked there and has to be broken free and without the other distractions you don’t have much else to do but contend with the pain. To get rid of it is to release your back muscles and here’s how to do that:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.

What is the best mattress to sleep on when you have back/hip pain? ?

My husband has been in pain for quite some time due to the accident we were in in 1999 along with other things he has done. I need help in picking the right type of mattress when dealing with back/hip pain. Please help me.

You should try a memory foam mattress. A memory foam mattress will conform to the body shape and weight. It supports the whole body and alleviates the pressure on your body. It will give you a better back support to help your back pain.

You can refer http://www.memoryfoammattress101.com to learn more about the benefits of memory foam mattress.

Back Pain Sleeping Posture

Do you Sleep in Bad Posture to Cause Back Pain?

Talk to anybody who suffers from back pain and he will tell you, how difficult it is to live in such a state, where pain and agony haunts you every minute of the day. People, who suffer from acute affliction to this disorder, find it difficult to even carry on to their day-to-day activities.

Therefore, if back pain has just caught you, you need to act wisely. It is important for you to know the reason of your back pain and get it treated as soon as possible.

There can be many reasons that might be giving you back pain. Sleeping in a bad posture is just one of them. When you sleep in an inappropriate posture, your spinal cord rests in a bad alignment. Sleeping regularly in bad postures can permanently deform the structure of your back bone.

A deformed back bone is the house to many disorders. Bad postures not only deform your spinal cord but they also have a very bad impact on your back muscles. So the next morning when you wake up, you may suffer from a muscle cramp or a muscle-strain.

Our spinal cord is not straight but curved. Sleeping in bad postures extends the curve in your lower back. A curved back exerts stress on the muscles and soft bones in the neck. This type of back pain generally extends up to the mornings. Therefore, it becomes important for you to follow an appropriate sleeping posture that provides a natural support to your spine.

The best way is to consult a good medical practitioner, who will guide you to the best possible treatment for your back pain. Besides this, an important thing is the type of bed and the mattress that you use while sleeping. The mattress should be firm. While sleeping, try to keep a pillow under your head and also a pillow between your legs. This posture is very good in easing your back pain while sleeping.

Some people have the habit of sleeping on their stomachs. For such people, it is advised that they should try and sleep with a pillow under their stomach and not under the head. This posture reduces the unnecessary pressure on the back and the neck.

Get a Goodnights sleep with Orthopedic Pillows

If you’re having trouble getting the right position when sleeping
or if you’ve had too many encounters of horrible stiff neck, then
maybe you should invest in orthopedic pillows. This type of
pillow is scientifically designed to ensure that a person’s
sleeping position is correct and does not result to any muscular
pain. Orthopedic pillows are available not just for people who
consistently have back pains and neck pains but also those who
want to have a long goodnight’s sleep.

Orthopedic pillows are usually made of memory foam, a
scientifically designed material which absorbs the heat of the
body and shapes the foam properly for any head type. Memory foams
are also said to be of therapeutic material and often are used by
people who are in their old age. This doesn’t mean though that
orthopedic pillows are only used by the elderly. More and more
individuals have been turning in their traditional fluffed
pillows for therapeutic ones in hopes of reducing chances of
having horrible muscular pains.

If you wish to be able to get yourself some much needed
relaxation while on your hibernation mode, try investing on
orthopedic pillows so you need not worry about getting a massive
neck brace the morning after because of neck pains. For maximized
therapeutic pleasure, go for the cervical pillow or contour
pillow. This type of orthopedic is especially designed for a
person’s neck and shoulders. This pillow follows the contour of
your head and neck, and keeps it from getting into painful
sleeping positions through the night.

Find the pillow of your dreams and let your thoughts and all your
worries sleep, while you are at it.

Neck Pain From Sleeping? Natural Cure! Millet Hull Pillows

Ok, right now I am going to help you to cure your neck pain from sleeping.  1. Buy a natural millet hull Pillow.  2. Get regular massage for your neck.  3. Do yoga - stretch your neck regularly.

Do these three things and your neck pain from sleeping will magically go away!  (No injections, chiropractic adjustments, drugs or operations are usually required!  These expensive & extreme procedures are geared toward quick-fixing necks that really just need natural yet effective healing.  Let me give you the real cures for your neck pain from sleeping!  As an added bonus, I’ll be doing my part to reduce the HUGE amount of money spent on the insurance and health industry that is bankrupting our country and making insurance companies, hospitals and doctors richer by the minute.  Yes, this is the truth.)

1.  Buy a natural millet hull Pillow!  You may not think that this is a significant deal breaker but let me tell you that it is.  It’s a massive difference and considering that you are sleeping for 1/3 of your life you have got to find the best support that you can get.  Foam is a terrible body support mechanism.  Foam is made out of petroleum products and is partly responsible for your neck pain from sleeping!  Foam does not support firmly or evenly.  Foam outgasses loads of chemicals that you are breathing all night long.  Foam is cheap too and that is so indicative of something that is of poor quality and in this case causes neck pain from sleeping.  How much are your neck and shoulders worth to you? The human body needs good, firm, even, natural support.  Millet hull pillows offer that kind of support.  The best millet pillows are made with a strong linen case and a natural cotton cover.

Handmade millet hull pillows by Brett Rodgers, Licensed massage therapist

2.  Get regular massage for your neck!  I recommend doing self massage for neck pain every day!   Lay face up with your back flat on the floor.  Put some oil on your hands and work it deep into the back of your neck and shoulders.   Work the front and sides of the neck too.  Remember to do this every day and your neck pain from sleeping will go away!  Go to your local massage therapist as well and learn as much as possible from him/her.

3.  Do Yoga – stretch your neck muscles!  (Be careful if your are injured.  Take it easy at first)  When you actively stretch your neck and other related muscles, your neck pain from sleeping will go away because you are releasing the tension that resides within.  Releasing tension is key to relieving pain.  Tight neck muscles from working, sitting, looking down all the time and from stress cause nerves to become inflamed and sore.  If your neck is too tight you may injure yourself too!  Just bending over may cause an injury.  Ouch!

How long will it take to relieve my neck pain from sleeping?  Most neck pain from sleeping will go away in a few days and up to a week if you are vigilant and massage your neck daily, use a good millet hull pillow and do some yoga.

Be well and listen to your body, mind, heart and spirit.
Brett
