My neck was broken in 2 places on the job along with my ribs and a bone graph was preformed on my lower back and on top of it all i had a old injury to my lower back that was completely re-injured and is ten times worse then it ever was. I live in NJ and i’m a class A driver by trade. How to get rid of an old injury that I was shooting for the last year?

I was asked to be more specific .. I have this injury a year ago, while playing football .. is in the hip and thigh .. but I think the game was because hamstring that kept playing in pain for a while .. So, anyway .. the muscle of the hip and not quite sure … But even if I rested for three months in a row back after a week or activity … At this moment I can not take the luxury of rest and tried to take Motrin for the pain … but only increased the damage to my knee … it is the rest of the week and I feel good when I throw a ball belongs .. annoying .. I just turned 48 and have been exercising 3-4 times a week for 2 1 / 2 weeks. In fact, I ran with my cat and knees slammedonto the kitchen floor. I was wrong since it arrived last week.

What are some good workouts to do if you have back pain?

Walking and workout dvds are not an option, those hurt too. I have back pain (most likely due to weight gain,this has happened before)what are some exercises/workouts I can do to start out until the pain goes away.

I was thinking elliptical machine or yoga. Or is yoga not recommended for people with back pain??

Great question!

Just for a minute, consider that the cause of your back pain may actually be directly related to the cause of your weight gain?

Yes, it’s true that the additional stress, tension and pressure from the added weight definitely contributes to your back pain; however, I would suspect that’s only one factor.

Believe it or not, most people misunderstand fat. People believe that it’s additional calories, fats or carbs that “cause” fat – but, the truth is that fat is actually designed to protect you!

Sciatic Nerve Leg Pain – Alleviate This Pain

Sciatic nerve leg pain can vary from a slight twinge to severe pain running from the lower back through the buttock and down the leg. Sciatica is a set of symptoms caused by the sciatic nerve which is one of the widest and longest nerves in the human body. The pain is caused by this nerve being pinched or trapped form an injury of some sort and may remain for some time.

There are many treatments for sciatic nerve leg pain available from exercise, drugs and in some severe cases surgery but the most important thing to do first is to seek professional advice as the wrong treatment could make your pain a lot worse. Go to your local GP or Chiropractor and these professionals will provide the best treatment for you.

A few years ago I injured my back while lifting a heavy object incorrectly and ended up with sciatic nerve leg pain and this pain prevented me from doing one of my favourite pastimes of going to local football games as I found standing almost impossible, Walking was no problem but standing around was very difficult and to find a seat was like gold so as to relieve the pain.

At the time of this injury I worked in the haulage business and found it almost impossible to drive a truck without stopping every ten or so miles. If I drove twenty which at times I had no choice on motorways my leg would go numb with severe pain. The pain would usually start in the buttock and travel down the leg so I was constantly trying to think of ways to alleviate this pain.

One evening after work I got a piece of wood about two feet by one foot to sit on, and cut a hole out of one side so there would be no pressure on the bone on the buttock and covered the seat with some padding. The following day I couldn’t wait to try out my new device and to my surprise the sciatic nerve leg pain was much better and after some minor adjustments the numbness and pain disappeared.

Now I am not saying this will work for you but it might be worth looking into as a cheap pain reliever for sciatic nerve leg pain.

Does an extremely low fat diet cause major joint pain especially in the back and cold appendages? ?

the only fat I eat these days are from a few eggs a day and the little bit of butter I put on the frying pan, beside that I eat mostly carbs and protein without fat.

Recently I’ve been getting joint pain everywhere and my spin feels like it’s going to snap off. my neck spin area hurts.

I’ve also been getting extremely cold hands, feet and tip of the nose.

Is this due to my very low fat diet?

Well, first off you have to remember that fat comes in many foods. It’s not just butter or eggs. There are places where coffee will hold so much fat. Chips hold fat. Meat holds fat. Milk holds fat. Oils are fats (So like popcorn or things fried in oil). Desserts are fats. Peanut butter even has a lot of fat and even nuts! These are just some of the foods that hold more fat than others. Many foods hold fats. Fast food holds fats in every thing they create!

It’s possible that you aren’t getting enough fat But I have trouble believing that your body functions are being caused by just low fat. Tell me, is your hair completely dry and brittle? I’d say if that was happening than you might be way too low on fats. Because you need fats/oils to make hair lusty. Oils from your scalp (which come from the food you eat) will fall down your hair making it lusting. Thats why straight hair gets oilier than curly hair or thick hair.

Your joint pain could be tons of things. But it probably isn’t from the fat. And the other guy is right when he says that oils help the joints move. But otherwise If it had anything else to do with your diet it would be not getting enough food so your bones are dissinagrating but you’d have to be eating as little as an anorexic for that to happen. You might be exercising wrong or something.

And cold hands and feet…. I’m not exactly sure all the reasons. I only know one but that wouldn’t fit you I’d think. It might just be how your body’s reacting from the weather changes this winter. And I do believe that can happen. I’ll be sitting at a desk or in the car and my feet would get so cold it’s painful even though it’s warm in the room. If your really worried than I’d ask a doctor.

But if you are getting in other foods with fats than I’d think that it wouldn’t be your fats that are causing this.

Had back pain for a while. It is worse in the morning after exercise. Sorry I can not leave of bed some mornings. Ofen Also I have difficulty entering and exiting the vehicle, sitting, putting on socks … all the bending type. What I can do to solve this problem? I'm already doing a lot of exercises on the stability of the heart, but no joy!

I wish we had said exactly what the basic movements of the ongoing stabilization. If you are building muscle you can not attack those who are weak. The abdominals are not all basic package, but without knowing what you do, it is impossible to say what to do.
