Back Pain Chair Pad

Question about sciatica?
I have a severe attack of sciatica, this is my second time, the first time was in 2006. The pain radiates down the right leg. I'm on Vicoden, Soma, and a dose of short-term (one week) of methylprednisolone three days now. In 2006, I responded to steroids within 24 hours, but not this time. Yesterday I had to go to Target to get a heating pad, the pain was very mild and I was able to walk. But last night the pain became unbearable again. At present, the pain is moderate, I think because I'm medicated and heat on my back, but drugs are not really help the pain. Is there anything you do to aggravate the condition? Do can sit on a chair or should be fixed? Is there anything else I can do to ease the pain. I do not want to go to the emergency room again because I do not think there is much that can do. I would appreciate any tips or advice.
Candice, I'll give you some range of motion exercises to do, but please remember that if increased pain, then stop! I would also say that the therapist would be a better way to go than just taking drugs. Remember that drugs do nothing to change or modify the condition underlying. All they do is reduce the amount of pain you feel. I can only get in a world of trouble. Sit in a chair in the kitchen and lift the left arm as high as you can and relax. Raise your right arm can also go up and then released. An arm is increased more than the other so start with the first arm. Lift the arm as high as you can for 30 seconds and then rest for 15 seconds. Repeat this cycle twice more in exactly the same model and then do the other arm the same way 3 times. Turn your head to the left as far as it can go, then go right. An address will then begin to move in that direction. Torre's head in this direction so far as it can go 30 seconds, then let stand 15. Repeat two times the opposite direction and then in the same way 3 times. Get up and walk. There should be a reduction in pain and has increased mobility. Back to the chair and deal with these movements. Remember that if you increase the pain stop moving and never in any circumstances enter into an area of pain! If you have back pain, but more a pain in the leg while it is a move that hurts you to stop. By other hand, if you have a reaction to pain or back pain increased moving the leg in the back that is a positive reaction and the movement should continue. Sit in the chair and keep your feet planted and the hips as much as possible. Turn left body until you can, without going into the painful areas and then do the same right. A address then begin to move in that direction. Turn in that direction, as far as I can, without going into the painful areas for 30 seconds, then let stand 15. Repeat twice more and the fire in the opposite direction. To this end the URL in the same way three times, but remember to go all the painful areas. This movement is something you should try it, but if you're worried about it or cause adverse effects to stop! Bring your left knee as close to the right shoulder as possible, then do the right knee to left shoulder or as close as possible. Start with the combination that has the closest. Bring the knee toward the opposite shoulder as close as possible to rest for 30 seconds, and then for 15 seconds. Repeat twice more than the combination can reverse 3 times. Remember that pain is a point interruption should not come. These movements must be made at least once a day and more if possible. Hope this helps!
